Women can use a menopause remedy called agbo herbs to help with their symptoms of menopausis.
The remedies, which are usually found in Chinese medicine, are not yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration for sale in the U.S. but are available over the counter and on Amazon.com.
They are sometimes called “gut healing herbs” because they are meant to be ingested and not absorbed.
They also can be used to treat certain types of digestive issues, including Crohn’s disease.
Agbo herbs are usually taken as a pill or as a tea, but some patients find them to be effective for treating the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and menopauge.
They can also help with depression and sleep disorders, according to the American College of Rheumatology.
The treatment is not recommended for treating other diseases, including asthma, multiple sclerosis, and chronic pain.
